Gilat Ben-Dor,
Director of Renaissance Wine Academy

After obtaining an MBA in Global Management, living in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and spending time in the corporate  and higher education sectors, Gilat decided to pursue her passions for wine and education, combining these to form her wine education academy. This "rebirth" of following one's dreams inspired the business name of Renaissance Wine Academy.

Gilat rigorously pursued and achieved credentials with the International Sommelier Guild, the Court of Master Sommeliers, the Society of Wine Educators, the Federation of Dining Room Professionals, and Sopexa (official Bordeaux agency of France).

In June 2007, Gilat was chosen among 400 women from 30 countries to represent the U.S. as a Top 10 World Finalist at the Wine Women Awards, and was flown to Paris to compete.

Gilat is also a member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International), and ABWA (American Business Women's Association).

But credentials aside, as Director of the Academy, Gilat strives to bring a warm, lively spirit to her programs while maintaining the utmost professionalism.

Cheers!
